About Narayen

 

Born in Hyderabad, India, Shantanu Narayan got his start at Apple. He earned his bachelor's degree in science from Osmania University, his master's degree in business administration from the University of California, Berkeley, and his doctorate in chemistry from Bowling Green State University. Narayen, who is now 45 years old, first started working for Adobe in 1998 and was promoted to CEO in December 2007.

 

Shantanu Narayen held the positions of President and Chief Operating Officer of Adobe Inc. prior to being appointed to the role of Chief Executive Officer in December of 2007. In addition to this, Narayen represented India in a sailing competition that took place in Asia, and in 2016, Barron's Magazine acknowledged him as one of the most successful CEOs in the whole globe. As the Chief Executive Officer of the firm, Narayen supervised the process of the company's transition, which included shifting the company's creative and digital document software brands to the cloud. In addition, Narayen was responsible for the company's overall financial performance. The flagship applications of these software brands include Photoshop, Premiere Pro, and Acrobat/PDF, amongst others.

 

During his time as CEO, Adobe also began to make strides into the realm of digital experiences with the purchase of Omniture in 2009. In 2018, Adobe's market worth topped $100 billion, making it the first software business in history to join the Fortune 400. Additionally, Forbes ranked it as the thirteenth most innovative company of 2018.
