Attention HDFC Cardholders: Major Changes from July 1 – What You Must Know!
HDFC Bank has announced significant revisions to its credit card policies, impacting lounge access and introducing new charges on various transactions.
✈️ Revised Airport Lounge Access Policy (Effective June 10, 2025):

No More Direct Swipe Access: Cardholders will no longer gain lounge entry by simply swiping their credit cards.

Spend-Based Vouchers: Lounge access will now be granted through vouchers, contingent upon quarterly spending milestones:

Tata Neu Plus Credit Card: Spend ₹50,000 in a calendar quarter to receive 1 domestic lounge access voucher.

Tata Neu Infinity Credit Card: Spend ₹50,000 in a calendar quarter to receive 2 domestic lounge access vouchers.

This change aims to encourage higher card usage and streamline benefits.
💳 New Charges on Specific Transactions (Effective July 1, 2025):
- Rent Payments: A 1% fee will be levied on rent transactions made through third-party merchants.hdfcbank.com
- Wallet Loading (excluding PayZapp): A 1% fee will apply to wallet loading transactions exceeding ₹10,000 in a calendar month.
- Online Skill-Based Gaming: A 1% fee will be charged on gaming transactions exceeding ₹10,000 in a calendar month.
Each of these fees is capped at ₹4,999 per transaction.
⚠️ Additional Updates:
- Reward Points: No reward points will be awarded for transactions related to rent payments, wallet loading, and online gaming.
- Insurance Transactions: Reward point accruals on insurance-related transactions have been revised, with limits or eliminations in place.
